Build Your Pre-Market Framework: Node Analysis Guide

How node analysis organizes pre-market research with fixed dimensions and daily sectors, with pre/post verification and one-tap prediction export.

1. Does pre-market research feel like this?

Before each open, an active trader’s head is full of questions:

  • How do I see the index today — gap-and-fade or range?
  • Where is sentiment — freeze, repair, or euphoria?
  • Which sectors matter — storage, robots, something else?
  • Did the core names in each theme change?

Those answers usually live in:

  • Group chat fragments
  • A few lines in Notes
  • “I roughly know” in your head

After the close, trying to compare “what I thought this morning” vs “what happened” hits a wall: no complete, structured record. Even if you find scraps, you can’t compare across days or track a theme for weeks.

Node analysis exists to fix that.

2. What is node analysis?

It’s a date-organized matrix with two kinds of rows:

Row type Role Examples
Fixed dimensions Long-lived research axes filled every day Index view, Sentiment
Same-day sectors Themes you care about today only Storage, Robots

Each row has two fields:

Pre-market view Post-market check
Write your thesis before the open Fill what actually happened after the close

While editing the pre-market cell, the app shows yesterday’s content for the same dimension, so you can continue the thread and spot changes.

In-app blurb:

Record pre- and post-market views by dimension and sector. Import from the last session, or turn pre-market notes into daily predictions.

3. Why bother?

1. From scattered notes to a research frame

Plain notes restart from zero every day — no structure, no comparison.

Node analysis forces fixed dimensions. Today: “Sentiment: repair day, watch divergence.” Tomorrow: “Sentiment: euphoria, watch fade signals.” A week later you have a chain you can actually audit.

2. Pre vs post teaches calibration

Many traders don’t lack “views” — they lack feedback on whether those views were any good.

Putting pre-market thought and post-market reality on the same row makes daily calibration concrete:

  • Which dimensions are you sharp on?
  • Where do you consistently miss?
  • Any systematic blind spots?

3. Research layer connected to execution

Node analysis is the research layer; Trading Plan is the execution layer.

After filling pre-market views, tap Pre → daily predictions to turn every pre-market cell into that day’s prediction plans, formatted like:

【Index】
Expect a gap-up range day; watch volume…

【Robots】
Core names may flip from divergence to consensus…

Those predictions land on the day’s plan timeline. After the close, mark them right / wrong in daily review and feed prediction accuracy.

One chain: research → prediction → verification → stats.

4. Core capabilities

1. Fixed dimensions: your long axes

Once created, fixed dimensions persist across dates. Good for:

  • Index — market direction
  • Sentiment — temperature, board height, loss effects
  • Anything you must fill daily and review over time

Rename, reorder, or delete anytime.

2. Same-day sectors: flexible theme tracking

Themes rotate fast. Storage today, robots tomorrow, something else the day after.

Same-day sectors bind only to that date — they don’t pollute long axes. Each session you can:

  • Add sectors manually
  • Tap Import from last time to copy the most recent sector list that had data

Less blank-slate busywork, without losing flexibility.

3. Pre-market view + post-market check

Each row is a predict → verify pair.

Pre-market example:

Dimension Pre-market view
Index Gap-up range; watch direction around 10:00
Sentiment Repair day 3; watch whether leaders diverge
Robots Core names may attempt one-to-two; watch auction strength

Post-market example:

Dimension Post-market check
Index Gap-and-fade after 10:30; thesis too optimistic
Sentiment Leaders diverged; lower-tier catch-up offset; tone held
Robots Two successful one-to-twos; strength matched expectation

4. Pre → daily predictions

After filling pre-market cells, one tap pushes them into the trading-plan timeline as trackable predictions — not just private notes.

5. Import from last time

On a new day with no sector rows yet, import the sector list from the latest date that had data. High overlap day to day? Huge time saver.

6. Node analysis vs trading plans

Scenario Node analysis Trading plan
Frame the day (index, sentiment)
Track views across several themes
Concrete orders (price, stop)
Single sharp prediction Convert
Structured pre vs post
Score prediction accuracy Via convert

Short version: node analysis for the big picture; trading plans for concrete action.

7. Who it’s for

  • Traders who map index, sentiment, and sectors before the open;
  • Theme / leader-style traders tracking several directions;
  • Anyone who wants a clean pre vs post record;
  • People who want a reusable research frame instead of starting from zero;
  • Short-term or swing traders.

8. How to start

  1. App → Calendar → menu → Node analysis
  2. Add a fixed dimension (start with Index or Sentiment)
  3. Add today’s same-day sectors
  4. Fill pre-market views
  5. (Optional) Pre → daily predictions
  6. After the close, fill post-market checks

You don’t need every dimension on day one. Pick one axis you already watch and feel the frame for a week.

FAQ

Q: Can fixed dimensions and same-day sectors mix?
A: Yes — same table. Fixed dims persist; sectors bind to that day only.

Q: Does “Import from last time” overwrite today’s cells?
A: No. It imports the sector rows, not your filled text.

Q: Node analysis vs predictions?
A: Node analysis is a multi-dimension research matrix with pre/post. Predictions are single scored calls. Pre → daily predictions connects them.

Q: Can I skip post-market checks?
A: You can, but you shouldn’t — calibration lives in the post column.
